Is Rogers Throttling VPN Connections?

Update – April 3/2015

I’m not so sure about this anymore. Since writing this article I had a Rogers tech over and he replaced the cable in the back yard. My Rogers connection is now a lot faster. > 30Mb/sec download. My A/B tests between VPN and no VPN are roughly the same since. I’ve seen some links to this post out there so I should mention my latest findings.

Lean Startup / MVP Life Cycle (Bubble 2.0 version)

Step 1: Think up some idea for a feature.

Have your team use this tag cloud to assemble a “feature mash-up” which looks like it could drive value through the startup life cycle. Remember, you’re #1 job is to be featureful, provide a rich user experience and drive value throughout the entire vertical you are about to make-up define.

The time I almost invented Shazam

They were a service that had digitized a boatload of music and their raison d’etre was to be able to predict, based on what songs were in your library, what other songs you would like.

Facebook won’t let me unlike Walmart?

The other day I noticed that “Wal-Mart Canada” had somehow appeared in my “Likes” list on Facebook. After “unliking” it, I posted the following to my facebook page:

Interesting. Walmart was in my “Likes” list.

I don’t like Walmart. In fact I once hired a personal assistant just so I could stay out of places like Walmart. Now we just use some place that delivers, like Grocery Gateway – it’s more expensive but hey, it keeps me out of Walmart.

So it’s odd that Walmart would be in my “likes” list. Unless you mean “I Like Not Going To Walmart”.
